Incubation Program “Haiti Startup Talent” – 1st edition


A joint initiative of the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), CASELI and the City of San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain).


The Spanish city of San Sebastian (Basque part of Spain) is one of the most innovative cities in Europe with a long tradition of supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.


In order to support the entrepreneurial efforts of the Haitian youth, provide them with adequate training and access to experts and mentors, the city of San Sebastian, with the Inter-American Development Bank and the Haitian Foundation CASELI have developed the program incubator “Haiti Startup Talent”.


“Haiti Startup Talent” is a 6-month incubation program for selected young entrepreneurs whose business proposals are innovative, creative, with the potential to become high-growth companies that can create jobs.


The program will begin around mid-August 2018. The selected entrepreneurs will have full-time access to fully equipped offices in Pétion-Ville, Port-au-Prince, and will receive support for 6 months..


Participants will attend training provided by Haitian and international experts, including specialists selected by the city of San Sebastian. During the training, participants will learn about the different aspects of transforming a business idea (or prototype) into a company that operates in the market.


Selected entrepreneurs must be a dedicated participant in the program – based in Port-au-Prince.
